Several establishments in Washington were victims ofexplosive attacks this Sunday morning, causing significant material damage. The US Capital Police are currently search for suspects involved in these worrying incidents.

According to the Metropolitan Police Department, the first explosion occurred around 4:30 a.m. (July 2, 2023), in front of the Truist Bank ATM, located in the 2300 block of Washington Place. An individual would have triggered a explosive device on the sidewalk, causing considerable damage.
About six minutes later, another explosion occurred outside the doors of the Nike store in the 700 block of H Street. Police said an explosive object was detonated on the sidewalk, further damaging the property.
At 4:45 a.m., a “Molotov cocktail” type object was thrown in the direction of the Safeway supermarket, located in the 300 block of 40th Street. Although the exact details of the incident remain to be confirmed, this criminal act further aggravated the damage caused to the targeted businesses.
Authorities believe the attacks were deliberately aimed at commercial establishments. The suspects were spotted leaving the scene in a gold or champagne colored Acura TL, registered in Maryland under license plate 17971CK.
