Twitter, the famous social network, recently imposed a restriction temporary on the number of tweets users can read in a day. This announcement was made by the founder of Twitter himself, Elon Musk.

Elon Musk in interview with BBC
In a tweet, Mr. Musk said that unverified accounts are now limited to reading 1000 Publications per day. As for new unverified accounts, this number is reduced to 500. On the other hand, accounts with the status “checked” are currently limited to 10 000 tweets per day.
Initially, the tech billionaire established stricter limits, but he changed his mind just hours after announcing this measure. According to Mr. Musk, these temporary restrictions are aimed at countering “extreme levels of data theft and system manipulation.”
The objective of this decision was to preserve the quality of service for regular users, because data pilfering practices significantly disrupted theuser experience. However, Mr. Musk did not clarify what exactly he meant by “system manipulation” in this context.
It appears that the term “data theft” refers to the massive extraction of information used by data processing companies.artificial intelligence (AI) to train sophisticated language models. These models power chatbots such as Open AI's ChatGPT and Google's Bard.
Simply put, data pilfering is collecting information from the Internet. Large language models need to learn from a considerable amount of real human conversations. The immense volumes of posts on Reddit and Twitter are considered essential training data for AI companies.
