Comedian Dave Chapelle attacked on stage at Hollywood Bowl – Los Angeles

Dave Chapelle was attacked on stage last night (Tuesday May 3, 2022, around 10 p.m.) at the Hollywood Bowl while performing as part of Netflix is a Joke. A man rushed towards the comedian and violently tackled him in front of the public.

Dave Chapelle was not injured during this attack, and still continued the show. The comedian joked: “he was a trans man”, given his controversial comments after controversial comments about trans people.

The attacker was apprehended by the police and is said to have a dislocated right arm. On an ABC7 video, we see him being taken to the hospital. He had a knife and a firearm in his possession.
