12,000 reals have already been paid directly to the crews engaged in this biological regulation campaign since the start of summer operations.

10 reals are granted by the municipality for each specimen handed over to the health authorities of the Colônia de Pescadores Z-22.

A total of 1,200 individuals have been removed from coastal waters since last July according to official regional records.

Salvador, for his part, is testing culinary alternatives to integrate venomous fish into dishes and stimulate commercial demand.

A new meeting of the environmental management committee will be held on November 14 to extend the scope of the bonus to neighboring municipalities.
