The Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA) confirmed the intensity of the earthquake and reported that its impact was considerable in the areas of Aichi, Nagano, Gifu and Shizuoka.

Local authorities activated early warning protocols after the force of the earthquake, which was recorded at a depth of 40 kilometers.
