Last October, a road accident claimed the life of Tommaso Bruciaferri, a young resident of the Aspio frazione, just a few hundred meters from his home. This event had a profound impact on the Osimana community, leaving a void that was difficult to fill for his family and loved ones.
To honor his memory, the Osimo cultural circle 76 launched a collection of signatures. The aim is to persuade the municipality to name the Aspio public park in the name of Tommaso Bruciaferri. This symbolic approach aims to transform a place of relaxation into a space of meditation and remembrance for residents.
At the same time, on the sports fields, Giovane Robur Osimo, the city's basketball team, is having a remarkable season. On March 8, 2026, during a trip to Porto Sant'Elpidio, the team won with authority with a score of 51 to 73, confirming its place at the top of the ranking.
Led by coach Gabriele Marini, the players, nicknamed the “headless”, demonstrated constant mastery throughout the match. This performance is part of a positive dynamic, with mathematical qualification for the play-offs already assured, reinforcing hopes of success at the end of the season.
