Argentine midfielder Nico Paz, aged 21 and currently playing for Como in Serie A, finds himself in the spotlight after a notable appearance in Milan. A photo shared on social media shows him with his father, Pablo Paz, as well as Javier Zanetti, vice-president of Inter, and former striker Diego Milito. This meeting, which took place on March 13, 2026 in the Botinero restaurant, owned by Zanetti, immediately raised questions about the player's future.
The context of this evening is particularly intriguing, because Nico Paz is considered one of the revelations of the season in Italy. Since his arrival at Como, he has impressed with his vision of the game and his technique, attracting the attention of several major European clubs. The presence of Inter managers at this family dinner naturally fuels speculation about a possible transfer to the Milan club, especially since Zanetti is a former teammate of his father.
Rumors regarding Paz's future are not limited to Italy. Indeed, Real Madrid, where he was trained in the youth categories, retains a right to review his career. According to sources close to the matter, the Spanish club could exercise a buyout option, which complicates potential negotiations with Inter. This situation places the player in a delicate position, having to weigh the sporting and financial advantages of each option.
On a sporting level, Nico Paz demonstrated his qualities during the 2025-2026 season, contributing significantly to Como's performance in Serie A. His statistics, with several assists and striking goals, make him a preferred target for clubs seeking to strengthen their midfield. His rapid adaptation to Italian football, renowned for its tactical intensity, was praised by observers.
The Milan region, the economic and football heart of Italy, is often the scene of such discreet meetings between players and managers. In Paz's case, this visit comes at a key time of the season, where clubs are already planning their recruitments for the summer of 2026. Inter fans, excited by the prospect of seeing Argentine talent join their ranks, are closely following developments.
Beyond the transfer aspects, this affair highlights the growing influence of social networks in modern football. The rapid distribution of the photo amplified the debates, forcing the parties involved to adopt cautious communication. Neither Inter, nor Real Madrid, nor Paz's entourage have officially commented on the situation, preferring to leave the mystery hanging.
The next few weeks promise to be decisive for Nico Paz. As the season draws to a close, discussions are expected to intensify between the various players. The player, focused on his performances with Como, will have to make a decision that will impact his career in the long term, between a return to Spain or a new adventure in Italy.
In conclusion, the Milan episode illustrates the complexities of the transfer market, where informal meetings can have major repercussions. Up-and-coming talent Nico Paz finds himself at a crucial crossroads, with attractive options on the table. Football fans are impatiently awaiting the resolution of this saga, which could well reshape the landscape of Italian calcio.
