The Catalan channel TV3 has officially announced the return of its flagship program Crims for a sixth season, broadcast since Monday March 16, 2026 at 10:05 p.m. This documentary series, created and directed by journalist Carles Porta, continues to captivate audiences with in-depth accounts of real-life criminal cases, this time centered on the theme of the cycle of lies.
Carles Porta, emblematic figure of investigative journalism in Catalonia, underlined during a press conference in Barcelona that Crims now benefits from increased recognition from the victims' families. They are contacting the production team more and more frequently to request that their stories be told, demonstrating renewed confidence in the format.
The first episode of this new season, entitled “The Pandemic Assassin”, looks back on a series of murders that occurred in 2020 in Barcelona, targeting homeless people. In a context of a city deserted by confinements, security images made it possible to reconstruct the facts, offering poignant insight into the increased vulnerability during this period.
TV3 and its 3Cat platform plan to produce at least a hundred episodes of Crims, thus ensuring notable longevity for this show. This ambition reflects not only its courtroom success, but also its role in preserving collective memory around complex legal cases.
