Haitian Red Cross: two (2) days of training on road traffic

On Monday December 20 and Tuesday December 21, the Regional Office of the Haitian Red Cross in the North-West in Port-de-Paix organized two days of training for young volunteers on road traffic.

The inaccessibility of public roads during school entry and exit in the capital of the North-West department, Port-de-Paix, the behavior of drivers favors the dizzying rise in cases of bad traffic accidents and also the lack of knowledge of the population in traffic matters, are, among other things, the reasons which pushed the regional committee to support the population. This training aims to reduce the rate of traffic accidents recorded in the country.

As an auxiliary, the Haitian Red Cross has a very important role to play both in raising awareness among the population about possible threats and in administering first aid. This, in accordance with article 5 of the revised statutes of 2009.

Note that this training is part of the promises made by the new holder of the regional committee in the North-West. Gabha Imbert claims to have noticed that Red Cross volunteers deserve training of this type.
