L'indicateur CepeaEsalq du boi gordo a terminé la première semaine de novembre avec de nouveaux sommets, battant les records fixes en octobre.

Les hausses sont alimentées par une réduction dans l'approvisionnement en bétail disponible pour l'abattage, ainsi qu'une demande constante de viande bovine, combinées à une forte concurrence entre les frigoríficos pour acquérir la matière première, selon le Centre d'études avancées en économie appliquée (Cepea).

Le prix futur du boi gordo a augmenté plus que le prix réel : il est désormais coté à R$ 16,5 l'arrobe pour le livraison en novembre 2026 sur la B3, surpassant ainsi Datagro.
