The two teams are neck and neck with 12 points each in Liga 12, but their situations differ significantly.
Villarreal receives Getafe, the two teams in the race for promotion
Villarreal suffered two consecutive defeats this week, including a crushing 6-0 loss to PSG, their worst ever home defeat.
Getafe, for their part, comes from a success at home against Sevilla (3-1) and comes back strong from the suspension of Pape Gueye and Johan Mojica for Villarreal.

The statistics rather favor the visitors in the last eight direct clashes, but the figures also say that Villarreal have won seven home matches this season.
