Young women of Haiti

For several years, the instability of the country on various aspects (economic, social, and political) clearly shows that Haiti has not been able to offer the possibility of survival and togetherness of the people who live in it.

Many of them live each day without hope of what tomorrow will be like. This is not simply a matter of insecurity, but also in all the aspects we have just mentioned, the State has not been able to stand up as a public policy piece to accompany anyone.

Among the inhabitants, we find that the majority are young women and young men. The category we could consider as the future of the country, which is often full of dreams, thoughts of fighting for a better tomorrow, but which is harmful, does not reach the assistance of the State. Many of them who have completed philosophy classes choose to leave the country to study, work, and be useful elsewhere. Or stay fighting in the country at the level that is possible.

Now, what is the possible fight for a young person living in Haiti facing a State that probably does not manage to define public policy and even though it is aware of this fight, it does not manage to define alternatives either?

Cageline, 21 years old, had a dream to become a doctor, today he goes to the market every morning to comb and do people's nails.

"My father told me two adults don't stay in the same house just because he felt after my philosophy class, I shouldn't be at home, on his responsibility anymore"

The majority of Haitian parents understand that taking a philosophy class means too many things, facing the bad situation of the country, many of them understand that after this class is the time for a child to swim to get out.

"Every morning, when many young people from my home are taking the road to go to the factory, I also have to go out, because I have to pay for the floor, to achieve what I need"

Today, we find that many young people are released into a practice that does not belong to the sense of society. The possibility of gangsterization becomes more expensive, and increases the number of children who are born and grow up unaccompanied. However, many others also think of managing their dignity, thinking that life is for one day, they will find peace.

"I have to live, I can't take care of my parents. Because I don't have a father. The family's hope is on me, it's to take the streets to raise my house"

This is the speech of Mackenley, who is 26 years old and studies administrative science. Today, who transforms himself into a pie vendor in the area of Pies Sis. A place in the municipality of Site Sun.

"The street doesn't smile at me every day, because there are always thugs who pass by to check me out, and sometimes they point guns at me when I'm going to shop to get a little money for the day. But I can't cross my arms, because I know life is a struggle"

Still Mackenley, who certainly after his studies as required by society, wished to work in an office, but damage is not what life offers him.

In the areas of concentration of violence, there are young people who refuse to ease despite all the calamities they are enduring. We are wondering what day, when Abraham will say enough for them!?!
