Carrefour-Feuilles was left to its own devices in the face of the bandits of Grand-Ravine who sowed terror among the population. However, on Saturday August 26, 2023, the Haitian National Police (PNH) intervened decisively, attempting to put an end to these unrest.

The main area of action of this intervention was the Avenue Magloire Ambroise, more precisely around "Kay Kazèk". Scoop FM reports that several specialized units of the HNP, such as the UDMO, the UTAG and the SWAT Team, have been deployed. These teams intend to remain in place until peace is fully restored.

According to information from the same radio, the operation was a real success with at least eight bandits neutralized. Following this, exasperated residents took the radical decision to decapitate and burn the bodies of the criminals, testifying to their deep anger at the insecurity.

Since the attacks began on August 14, the region has paid a heavy price with nearly fifty people losing their lives and many houses burned. Many residents, seeking to protect their families, preferred to leave the area in the face of this constant threat.
