Weather in Avignon: up to 35°C and thunderstorms expected in Vaucluse

Thunderstorms, although local, can be intense, with hailstones and strong winds, especially in the surrounding valleys and mountainous areas.

Emergency services are on war footing, with teams mobilized to deal with possible water damage and forest fires, given the current drought.
