Two houses ravaged by fire in the town of Les Cayes: “The firefighters did an extraordinary job”

A fire broke out in a house around 7 a.m. in the 3rd largest city in the country, more precisely on Boulevard des Quatre (4) Chemins (opposite the 10 Dwèt restaurant) yesterday Monday, December 27, 2021. Residents and Internet users alerted the city's firefighters. A second house was burned down in the same circumstance.

With the support of the population, firefighters and brigadiers took several hours to put out the blaze. They did an extraordinary job. The worst was avoided thanks to these brave men and women.

As for the cause of the fire, Me Ronald Richemond, government commissioner for the commune of Les Cayes, confirms that petroleum products were clandestinely stored in these two houses. So far, no loss of life has been reported.
