In broad daylight, 2 armed individuals opened fire on Fausner Vertilus, a money changer in Diwo (Ounaminthe). The looters took away the bag full of banknotes from the money changer who was hit by several projectiles… (Dec. 30, 2021)
Fausner was taken to the hospital by the locals, who, helpless and terrified, could only watch. Just a few days ago, another currency trader was shot dead.
The climate of insecurity that has taken hold in the country in recent years is only growing. This phenomenon would explain the migration of Haitian families to foreign lands.
