The “400 Mawozo” gang attacks the Croix-des-Bouquets civil prison from the inside and the outside simultaneously on this day of December 31, 2021. In this prison, several members of this gang are detained, including No. 1 known under the pseudonym “Bout Yonyon”.
Outside, bandits armed with weapons of war open fire on police officers while prisoners armed with pistols attack them inside the penitentiary institution.
Successful or not, this escape attempt took place under a huge exchange of heavy fire and lasted almost an hour.
The death toll has not yet been declared... Police officer Robinson JOACHIM was hit by projectiles and taken into care.
