The armed group of Vitelhomme invested all of Pernier, but especially the Pernier crossroads, on the night of May 15 to 16, 2022. Businesses are already being looted and burned.
In the thick, total darkness, the population does not know where to turn their heads and they are left to their own devices.
The armed individuals of this criminal group blocked access to the locality in order to delay, or even prevent, the police from reaching this area.

The Situation has evolved: agents from several units of the Haitian National Police have grouped together in the Pernier sub-station.
According to our sources, however, police officers were not deployed in the region. They would have taken refuge in the premises of the sub-police station at Carrefour Pernier. They would have avoided venturing into the darkness facing an enemy who knows the area very well.
